I’ve been blessed! The devil is a liar! I’ve been blessed!
This past Saturday my doctor declared that I no longer needed to take blood pressure medication. I ran home and crushed all the pills and cancelled any refills I had pending. I am truly blessed!
Last November 2013, I was diagnosed with high blood pressure also known as Hypertension. I was advised to exercise daily, eat healthier, cut back any sodium and sugar intake, stay away from processed foods and take medicine once a day. I thought, ” GREAT! a serious lifestyle change”. I was so not ready to deal with this. My home was packed with all the stuff I could no longer eat or drink. But…. through Prayer, Focus and the Strength of The Lord, I am blessed!
First things first, rid this home of the poison. Secondly, go back to walking 3 days a week. I’ve always enjoyed walking around the park, through the mall and around the neighborhood~ 30-45 mins was all I needed. I made a schedule for yoga days, stretch & cardio 30 mins for two days of the week. I meditated and rested on the weekends. Third, I stopped grocery shopping once a week. I shop every two weeks now. One week of meats and the week for fruits and veggies. One snack every two weeks. I made food last for two weeks and I actually saved a-lot of money per month. My eating habits were a mess. FAST FOOD is null and void. Every now and again I grab a sandwich or happy meal when I’m not able to get to my planned meal. Yes I eat kids HAPPY MEALS! After all of this, I am no longer tired and stuffed. I wake up at 6:30 am and go to sleep at 11 pm automatically. Today my diet consists of green veggies, colorful fruits and green teas. I have mastered the crave for certain foods that I gave up. I learned all about sodium and carbs in 11 months. These products are detrimental to my health and I must take caution with foods containing them. I read every single nutrition label I see now. My health is extremely important not just because of family history , but because of age as well. For me, changing my lifestyle was a necessity, not a choice.
“I WILL TO WILL THY WILL”
I THANK YOU HEAVENLY FATHER FOR INSTILLING THE COURAGE, THE WILL, THE POWER AND YOUR STRENGTH WITHIN ME. I THANK YOU HEAVENLY FATHER FOR BLESSING ME! AMEN!
