Me, Jesus and CLARITY

How to connect with God.  Lessons I’ve learned. I once read in a book that said God speaks to you loud and clear. All we have to do is listen, feel, smell, touch,  to know God’s presence in your life.  Usually if your pondering something and your jawbone or temples hurt, it’s a nay!  But……if… Continue reading Me, Jesus and CLARITY

Thursdays Dose Of Knowledge ~Triumphant and Victorious

ON PALM SUNDAY Christians annually commemorate Jesus’ last entry into Jerusalem.  As described in Mark 11, after Jesus had sent his disciples to bring him a colt,  they put blankets on the animal, and Jesus sat upon it.  While Jesus entered Jerusalem on the colt, people put their cloaks and leafy branches on the path… Continue reading Thursdays Dose Of Knowledge ~Triumphant and Victorious

Invitation to the Lord’s Salvation

Invitation to the Lord’s Salvation The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit.… Continue reading Invitation to the Lord’s Salvation

God’s Commandments~ Exodus 20:1-17 (MSG)

JUST IN CASE WE FORGET! 20 1-2 God spoke all these words: I am God, your God,     who brought you out of the land of Egypt,     out of a life of slavery. 3 No other gods, only me. 4-6 No carved gods of any size, shape, or form of anything whatever, whether of things that fly or walk or… Continue reading God’s Commandments~ Exodus 20:1-17 (MSG)

Thursdays Dose of Knowledge ~ The Last Supper

FEW EVENTS IN JESUS’ life are remembered more frequently than the meal he shared with his closest disciples on the night when he was arrested.  That meal is known by such names as the Last Supper, the Lord’s Supper, the Eucharist (thanksgiving), or communion. That last evening, however, posed concerns other than food.  Jesus realized… Continue reading Thursdays Dose of Knowledge ~ The Last Supper

Thursdays Dose of Knowledge ~ His Crowning Glory

GOD CREATED HUMANS on the sixth day as the culmination of all that he had brought into being.  They were created in his image and likeness, and he gave them “dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth” (Genesis… Continue reading Thursdays Dose of Knowledge ~ His Crowning Glory

Thursdays Dose of Knowledge ~ The Tree of Knowledge

The Garden of Eden was a place of unimaginable beauty, prepared by God specifically for humans to enjoy.  It had trees that were “pleasant to the sight and good for food” (Genesis 2:9), it was watered well by four rivers, and it abounded in precious metals and stones.  All of this was for the humans… Continue reading Thursdays Dose of Knowledge ~ The Tree of Knowledge

ROMANS 5:8-10

God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.        Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.      For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through… Continue reading ROMANS 5:8-10

Times When You Are Spiritually Disconnected

Deuteronomy 8:11-14 (ERV) Don’t Forget What the Lord Did 11 “Be careful. Don’t forget the Lord your God! Be careful to obey the commands, laws, and rules that I give you today. 12 Then you will have plenty to eat, and you will build good houses and live in them. 13 Your cattle, sheep, and goats will grow large.… Continue reading Times When You Are Spiritually Disconnected

1 Samuel 16:7 (GW)

But the LORD told Samuel, “Don’t look at his appearance or how tall he is, because I have rejected him. God does not see as humans see. Humans look at outward appearances, but the LORD looks into the heart.”

God’s Everlasting Love

38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.   Romans 8:38-39

Thursdays Dose of Knowledge – The Lord’s Prayer

The LORD’S PRAYER is one of the most well known prayers.  Millions of Christian believers say this prayer everyday.  Not surprisingly, most English -speaking people are familiar with the words “Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name,” as well as other lines in Jesus’ prayer.  What many people do not realize is… Continue reading Thursdays Dose of Knowledge – The Lord’s Prayer

What does it mean that God works in mysterious ways?

God works in ways that are often deemed “mysterious”—that is to say, God’s methods often leave people totally bewildered. Why would God tell Joshua and the children of Israel to march around the city of Jericho for a week (Joshua 6:1–4)? What good could possibly come from Paul and Silas being arrested and beaten without… Continue reading What does it mean that God works in mysterious ways?

Is a believer supposed to be able to feel the Holy Spirit?

We are not filled with the Spirit because we feel we are, but because this is the privilege and possession of the Christian. Being filled or controlled by the Spirit is the result of walking in obedience to the Lord. This is a gift of grace and not an emotional feeling. Emotions can and will… Continue reading Is a believer supposed to be able to feel the Holy Spirit?

Thursdays Dose of Knowledge ~ The Coming Of The Holy Spirit

Jesus died at Passover time, rising on the third day and appearing to his disciples over a period of 40 days before ascending into heaven.  He had told them to wait in Jerusalem for ” the promise of the Father” (Acts 1:4), which he had previously explained to them.  He was talking about the arrival… Continue reading Thursdays Dose of Knowledge ~ The Coming Of The Holy Spirit

“How Do We Get Faith?”

Romans 10:8-17 (ERV) 8 This is what the Scripture says: “God’s teaching is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart.”[b] It is the teaching of faith that we tell people. 9 If you openly say, “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised him from death, you will be… Continue reading “How Do We Get Faith?”

Put On The Full Armor of God

Put on the Full Armor of God There is a warfare with the enemy of our souls that all Christians are called to engage in, but the churches refuse to take it seriously, and many dismiss it completely.  Just because someone denies the devil and demon powers does not diminish their reality. “Take up the… Continue reading Put On The Full Armor of God

Cultivating Spiritual Fruit

Galatians 5:22-23 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

                                              fruite of the spirit

The fruit of the Holy Spirit refers to the nature of the Spirit revealed in the life of the believer. The fruit of the Holy Spirit is for character.  Spiritual fruit is evidence of spiritual maturity. Like fruit in the natural world, it is a product which is the result of the process of life. Spiritual fruit is Christian character in both personal and social conduct and is a product of the Holy Spirit at work in your life and your response to this work. Just as fruit takes time to develop in the natural world, spiritual fruit takes time to develop. It is the product of natural growth in the life of the Spirit.

LOVE~ Good will, brotherly charity, out of love for God and according to his will, unconditional holy affection. JOY~ cheerfulness, calm delight, gladness, greatly be exceeding. PEACE~ absence of conflict, quietness, tranquil state of a redeemed, believing, obeying soul. LONG-SUFFERING~ patience, in faith.  GENTLENESS~ softness of temper, mildness, benign spirit, kindness. GOODNESS~ uprightness of heart & life, virtue. FAITH~ belief, with the predominate idea of trust or confidence in God or in Christ.  MEEKNESS– softness of temper, a fruit of confidence in God and a form of temperance.  TEMPERANCE~ spirit governed self-control, fruit of character by dying to self in yielding to the Spirit in obeying His Word.

Forgiveness

Is there someone in your life you need to forgive? If you believe in someone, then you need to forgive them. Forgiveness is for you, not the person who wronged you. Forgiveness helps relieve the pressure of feeling you have been wronged or discarded.  No one person is perfect. We all make misjudgments.   I’ve… Continue reading Forgiveness
