How to connect with God. Lessons I’ve learned. I once read in a book that said God speaks to you loud and clear. All we have to do is listen, feel, smell, touch, to know God’s presence in your life. CRUCIFIXION WAS A BRUTAL, gruesome, and highly public form of capital punishment employed by various ancient societies as a deterrent. Sometimes rulers ordered that members of rebel groups be crucified dozens at a time, with crosses lining the roads. When the Romans took control of the Mediterranean world, they perfected the science of crucifixion. The… Continue reading Thursdays Dose Of Knowledge ~ The Crucifixion Of Jesus
God’s gifts to us are not for us but for others.
JUST IN CASE WE FORGET! 20 1-2 God spoke all these words: I am God, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of a life of slavery. 3 No other gods, only me. 4-6 No carved gods of any size, shape, or form of anything whatever, whether of things that fly or walk or… Continue reading God’s Commandments~ Exodus 20:1-17 (MSG)
FEW EVENTS IN JESUS’ life are remembered more frequently than the meal he shared with his closest disciples on the night when he was arrested. That meal is known by such names as the Last Supper, the Lord’s Supper, the Eucharist (thanksgiving), or communion. That last evening, however, posed concerns other than food. Jesus realized… Continue reading Thursdays Dose of Knowledge ~ The Last Supper
GOD CREATED HUMANS on the sixth day as the culmination of all that he had brought into being. They were created in his image and likeness, and he gave them “dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth” (Genesis… Continue reading Thursdays Dose of Knowledge ~ His Crowning Glory
“The electromagnetic vibrations you send out every split second of every day are what have brought and are continuing to bring everything into your life; big or small, good or bad. Everything!”
The Garden of Eden was a place of unimaginable beauty, prepared by God specifically for humans to enjoy. It had trees that were “pleasant to the sight and good for food” (Genesis 2:9), it was watered well by four rivers, and it abounded in precious metals and stones. All of this was for the humans… Continue reading Thursdays Dose of Knowledge ~ The Tree of Knowledge
Deuteronomy 8:11-14 (ERV) Don’t Forget What the Lord Did 11 “Be careful. Don’t forget the Lord your God! But the LORD told Samuel, “Don’t look at his appearance or how tall he is, because I have rejected him. God does not see as humans see. Humans look at outward appearances, but the LORD looks into the heart.”
38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
God works in ways that are often deemed “mysterious”—that is to say, God’s methods often leave people totally bewildered. Why would God tell Joshua and the children of Israel to march around the city of Jericho for a week (Joshua 6:1–4)? What good could possibly come from Paul and Silas being arrested and beaten without… Continue reading What does it mean that God works in mysterious ways?
We are not filled with the Spirit because we feel we are, but because this is the privilege and possession of the Christian. Being filled or controlled by the Spirit is the result of walking in obedience to the Lord. This is a gift of grace and not an emotional feeling. Emotions can and will… Continue reading Is a believer supposed to be able to feel the Holy Spirit?
Jesus died at Passover time, rising on the third day and appearing to his disciples over a period of 40 days before ascending into heaven. He had told them to wait in Jerusalem for ” the promise of the Father” (Acts 1:4), which he had previously explained to them. He was talking about the arrival… Continue reading Thursdays Dose of Knowledge ~ The Coming Of The Holy Spirit

Put on the Full Armor of God There is a warfare with the enemy of our souls that all Christians are called to engage in, but the churches refuse to take it seriously, and many dismiss it completely. Just because someone denies the devil and demon powers does not diminish their reality. “Take up the… Continue reading Put On The Full Armor of God
Galatians 5:22-23 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
The fruit of the Holy Spirit refers to the nature of the Spirit revealed in the life of the believer. The fruit of the Holy Spirit is for character. Spiritual fruit is evidence of spiritual maturity. Like fruit in the natural world, it is a product which is the result of the process of life. Spiritual fruit is Christian character in both personal and social conduct and is a product of the Holy Spirit at work in your life and your response to this work. Just as fruit takes time to develop in the natural world, spiritual fruit takes time to develop. It is the product of natural growth in the life of the Spirit.
